Welcome to Menard Family Maple! From our family woods in Niagara County to your kitchen table, we are proud to share the sweet rewards of pure, local maple. What began as a small backyard experiment has grown into a cherished family tradition and a thriving local business dedicated to sustainable stewardship, quality craftsmanship, and community connection.
Our Story: It Started with Ten Taps
The sweetest traditions often begin with a simple spark of curiosity. For us, that moment came when Scott Menard decided to tap the maple trees lined along our country drive. That very first spring, he collected 10 buckets of sap. After hours of careful boiling, it yielded just half a cup of sweet syrup—and Scott was officially hooked!
Those initial 10 taps quickly grew to 20, then 100. Years later, that small experiment evolved into Menard Family Maple LLC.
Today, we tap 425 trees across two woodlots in Niagara County. We still proudly tap our family woods—the very place where Scott first learned the art of maple syrup production from his Uncle Barney. Every spring, we eagerly welcome the sweet chaos of maple season. As frozen nights give way to warm, sunny days, sap flows into our tanks, filling our sugarhouse with the cozy, unmistakable aroma of boiling maple.
Growing Our Love for Maple
Our passion didn't stop with pure syrup. After tasting maple-coated almonds at a maple syrup conference, Carissa fell in love with the flavor and was inspired to launch our own line of handcrafted maple confections.
Today, we craft a wide variety of delicious treats using our pure maple, including:

You can find our handcrafted syrup and treats on our tables at farm markets and vendor fairs all across Western New York.
